Training Aid Disclaimer
Bus Route Trainer is a route learning tool for training purposes only. It is not an authoritative navigation system and must not be used as a substitute for official route instructions, road signs, traffic signals, or operator-issued route guides.
Always follow real-world road signs, traffic laws, and your operator's official route documentation. Bus Route Trainer is a training supplement, not a replacement for proper route instruction.
Data Accuracy
Route data is derived from publicly available transit data sources and may not reflect the most current route paths, stop locations, or road conditions. Routes can change due to road works, infrastructure changes, or operator decisions.
Always verify route information against official sources before operating a revenue bus service. Bus Route Trainer makes reasonable efforts to keep data current but cannot guarantee real-time accuracy.
Safe Use and Legal Compliance
You must comply with all applicable road rules, traffic laws, and regulations in your jurisdiction when using this app. You are solely responsible for safe vehicle operation at all times.
We recommend using a hands-free mount and voice navigation to minimise distraction. We advise against interacting with the device screen while driving — many jurisdictions prohibit this.
GPS signals may be inaccurate, delayed, or unavailable in certain conditions (tunnels, dense urban areas, poor reception). You are responsible for maintaining situational awareness at all times. The app does not account for real-time road conditions, closures, or hazards — always prioritise real-world observations over app guidance.
Acceptable Use
Bus Route Trainer is designed for route training and practice purposes. It is intended to be used while driving a personal vehicle for practice, not during revenue bus service.
You agree to:
- Use the app safely and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Not use the app as a primary navigation system during revenue bus service
- Not redistribute, resell, or share route data obtained through the app
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract data from the app
Consumer Guarantees
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your contract with us and obtain a refund. You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods. If a failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from or in connection with the service is limited to the re-supply of the service or a refund of the amount you paid for the affected purchase.
To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use the app, including but not limited to navigation errors, missed turns, incorrect stop locations, or any consequences of relying on the app's information.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Purchases and Payments
Route region purchases are one-time payments processed through Stripe. Your payment card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never touch our servers.
- One-time purchase: Unlocks all routes in a region. No subscription or recurring charges.
- Route data updates: When significant route changes occur, an update may be offered at a reduced price (~40% of original purchase). Updates are optional — your original purchase continues to work.
Refunds
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law. If the service has a major failure, you are entitled to a refund.
For all other refund requests, please contact us at [email protected]. We assess each request fairly and promptly. Refunds are processed to the original payment method via Stripe.
Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. One account per person. Do not share account credentials with others.
Intellectual Property
The Bus Route Trainer app, including its code, design, branding, and processed route data, is owned by Proven Innovation (ABN 93 589 866 241). Route data is derived from publicly available GTFS data under open licences (primarily Creative Commons Attribution 4.0); however, the processed, enhanced navigation data and the training product built from it are proprietary.
By using Bus Route Trainer, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for your personal route training purposes. This licence does not grant you any right to redistribute, scrape, reverse-engineer, or commercially exploit the app or its data.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in illegal activity, or commit fraud. Except in cases of egregious violation, we will provide reasonable notice before termination.
If your account is terminated for reasons other than a breach of these terms, your existing purchases will remain accessible. If your account is terminated for cause (e.g., misuse or fraud), access to purchased content may be revoked.
You may delete your account at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details on data deletion.
Age Restriction
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Bus Route Trainer and to make purchases. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years old.

Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email and/or through in-app notification, and will require your active acceptance before you can continue using the service. Non-material changes take effect upon posting, with notice provided where practicable.
Dispute Resolution
If you have a dispute about the service, please contact us first at [email protected]. We will work with you in good faith to resolve the issue. If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, either party may pursue their rights under applicable law, including through the relevant consumer tribunal or court.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Tasmania, Australia. Each party submits to the jurisdiction of the courts of Tasmania and courts of appeal from them. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies rights that cannot be excluded under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or any other applicable law.
If you access the service from outside Australia, local consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction may also apply.
